BSAG Shoutout: Black Engineers Association (BEA)

CADSA

Updated: Nov 17, 2021

This week our Org Shoutout is highlighting a Black student organization from Davis, California, at UC Davis, BEA!

The Black Engineers Association's, goals are to be all-inclusive, to expand on the ideas of the Black community, and to increase the number of culturally responsible Black Engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally and positively impact the community.

Here at CADSA we want to make sure we share not only organizations that are specifically for Black student-athletes but also those that are here to support Black students and Black people in general. Our goal is to share resources and areas of support to increase awareness and accessibility for Black student-athletes.

CADSA is aware that there is little support for student-athletes in engineering fields of study, especially Black student-athletes. BEA is working to help fill that void on the Davis campus and beyond. If you are interested in connecting with them formally you can email them at ucdbea.president@gmail.com. Follow BEA on Instagram @ucdbea for more information on them and to keep up with their work!
